Process plant engineering and advanced unit operation expert
Professor Libero Sesti Osséo is Associate Professor of Chemical Plant design at Industrial Engineering Dpt., University of Salerno, where he teaches undergraduate and post graduate classes in Unit Operations and Advances Unit Operation Design, Process Plant Design and Control, Food Processing, Environmental Engineering.
Libero leads research programs in Supercritical Fluids Technologies, Phases Interchange rate studies and High Intensity Circulating Fluid-Bed studies to apply CFB as chemical reactors. He is author of more than 70 scientific papers on major international magazines.
Prior to his academic involvement, Libero has had a successful career as senior process engineer at Kinetics Technology International (KTI) in Zoetermeer (NL) where he served as leading Process Engineer for Ethylene, Hydrogen and Oxo plant design and cooperated to develop an innovative EDF reactor (to obtain Teflon) and Circulating Fluid Bed Boiler fed by Refuse Derived Fuel. Libero initiated his professional career in the Italian subsidiary of KTI in Rome, focusing in design of refinery fired heaters, industrial waste incineration and flue gas treatment, steam reformers and steam crackers.
Professor Sesti Osseo graduated in Industrial Engineering at Università della Calabria, Arcavacata di Rende, Cosenza
