Guglielmo Rapino

Founder and legal advisor of Cocovan, a startup providing innovative travel solutions based on shared infrastructures. Guglielmo is acting as a lawyer for Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII (Chieti) defending pro bono migrants and asylum seekers.

Formerly junior lawyer at McDermott Will & Emery (Milan), assisting European and international clients on antitrust, evaluating the impact of new business policies, defending clients against regulatory infringement claims by public regulators. Previously, junior lawyer at Cannizzaro & Partners (Rome) focusing on Antitrust, European Union law and Administrative law. Guglielmo served as an intern for the Italian Bar association for civil rights (UFTDU) and worked as intern in several executive education projects of Netplan Management Consulting.

During his university breaks, Guglielmo worked for Amka Onlus, a NGO active in Congo and Guatemala, spending extended time executing project work in Lubumbashi (Democratic Republic of Congo) and Belo Horizonte community in the rural area of Guatemala, and for Filo Onlus, promoting cultural and sport activities for young people with psycho-physical disabilities.

Guglielmo graduated in 2015 from the School of Law at LUISS University with a Master in International Law. He has also completed the Visiting Research Fellow program at Fordham University (NYC) focusing his work on Corporate Social Responsibility of multinational corporations in developing countries and environmental damage, completed the Erasmus semester at Radboud University in Nijmegen (Netherlands). Gugliemo graduated from Liceo Classico (humanistic studies) of Chieti and had an experience as exchange student at Stamford High School, Connecticut (USA).

Guglielmo played in Italian first league of indoor soccer with Lazio (a premier league soccer team), and has been active in promoting music and sports events in his native Abruzzo region.
